A elk jumps a fence to join a large herd of elk on a ranch in Paradise Valley, Montana north of Yellowstone Park. Both elk and Yellowstone bison are carriers of brucellosis. But only elk have been blamed for outbreaks of brucellosis in cattle herds in Montana.
